Day 1

Moshi to Serengeti National Park

In the morning we will depart to the Serengeti National Park from Moshi. We will take the scenic route to the Serengeti passing along the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Serengeti is one of the Seven Natural wonders of Africa; it also features spectacular river crossings and is home to all the big predators. You have the opportunity to marvel at the view whilst enjoying an appetising picnic lunch on a kopje (small hill in a generally flat area). We will resume our journey and progress further into the Serengeti for a game drive. When the game drive is completed you will proceed to the Serengeti Camp, full-board camping is on offer.

Day 2

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

The day will begin in the central Serengeti where you will have an opportunity to view game. Lunch will be served in the park before we proceed to the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater has a diverse ecological system that includes lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, elands, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffe, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos and antelopes. There are migrant birds from Eurasia and African birds such as vultures, storks and flamingos. Majority of the plantation can be described as luscious and green but there are species of desert plants. The probability of what species you are likely to see all depends on the time of year and the migration of the herds. We will drive to the rim of the crater in the afternoon and spend the night at Simba Camp.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater to Moshi

We will have an early departure from camp to ensure that we arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater promptly. We will descend into the crater as our game drive with a picnic lunch is inside the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is an immense, unbroken caldera that was formed when a volcano erupted millions of years ago. The elevated structure encourages the animals subside within the crater which means there is a high possibility of spotting every member of ‘The Big 5’. The powerful group comprises of buffalo, lions, rhinos, elephants and leopards. You can expect to see other wildlife including zebra, hippos, wildebeest and hyenas.

The flamingos will lounge gracefully on the banks of the Soda Lake whilst the vultures can be found scavenging for the discarded prey of a predator. Geese and storks are amongst some of the other bird species. Our guides are highly skilled and their ability to track down animals is impressive. This level of expertise is not easily acquired. Your trip will come to an end in the late afternoon and we will proceed to Moshi. Transportation to the airport or Arusha can be arranged on request.

The northern circuit is the home of the classic safari experince from the endless short-grass plain of serengeti to the dense river lying forest of Tarangire to the lushy blended ecosytem of Ngorongoro an abundance of wildlife the perfectly capture the safari experience.

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park can be reached by means of an easy 60-minute drive north west from Moshi. Despite of closeness of this National Park to Arusha, this National Park is probably one of the least visited, making it a wonderful and rewarding off-the beaten-track excursion. Covering 137 sq km, the Arusha National Park has three major attractions which can all be visited in the course of a day outing.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is probably the mostly visited of the northern Tanzanian game parks, and retains a real air of undiscovered Africa, particular in the south of the park. Much of the park is grassland together with swamp lands and flood plains, which feed the Tarangire River. Large baobab trees, particularly in the northern section of the park, stand dotted across the landscape dominating the scenery. Many of the trees are hundreds of years old. Elsewhere there is acacia woodland, open bush and groves of palm trees.

Lake Manyara National Park

Covering about 330km², of which about two-thirds is underwater, Lake Manyara National Park is small by African standards. However, it’s also very beautiful and contains a tremendous diversity of habitats and wildlife. Set beneath the spectacular backdrop of the Great Rift Valley’s steep western escarpment, this long, narrow park protects an area between the escarpment and Lake Manyara.

Ngorongoro Crater

The  Ngorongoro conservation area covers 2286sq km and encompasses the volcanic area around the Ngorongoro crater including the still active Oldonyo Lengai, and the famous Olduvai Gorge. The Ngorongoro conservation area is quite simply the most spectacular tourist destination in Africa unequaled in its magnificence its wild life and its atmosphere.Added to the beautiful scenery, the archaeological wealth and the wildlife, is a proud people – the massai- a pastoral tribe.

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park has probably been the subject of more books, television documentaries, pictures, photos and digital images on African wildlife animals, than any other African national park. Hosting the annual wildebeest migration across its grassy plains – arguably the world’s greatest wildlife animals spectacle – this park is without a doubt a defining image of East Africa and more specifically Tanzania.
